Reviews:

“I loved it, it’s so easy to follow and well presented. Thank you for this amazing course :)” (Yahya Ait)

“Great work. Quick and easy to follow instructions. I knew nothing about HTML and CSS and this course really helped to get me started and familiarized with the code. 10/10 would recommend for beginners.” (Nsonsa E. Kisala)

“Overall, very good course. Would like to have a few more practice items. Maybe provide a screenshot of a website that we should be able to create at the end of the course (a bit different looking that what we did throughout the course). The goal would be for the student to create that “screenshot site” in html and CSS.” (Nicholas Buelk)

I am a software engineer with a focus on web development and software quality.
Recently, I developed NewsRoom, a single-page full-stack web app with the goal of providing morning news from a variety of different outlets to users around the world. It utilizes Ruby on Rails on the back-end, a PostgreSQL database, and React.js with a Flux architecture on the front-end. I also recently developed a Ruby library, in the vein of ActiveRecord, that provides the ability to interact with relational databases.
Previously, I have been involved with many different endeavors. While still in high school, I was recognized for excellence as a referee and given the opportunity to represent the Northern Marianas Islands at several international tournaments. As a violinist, I was a prize winner in various regional competitions, and was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to study at the Schwob School of Music.
